Coronavirus update
Following the government’s advice on social distancing, the Homes of Our Own Team have all been working from home for the past 6 weeks and will continue to do so until plans are in place for us to return to the office. The team are still available to answer any queries and provide support to existing and emerging community-led housing groups in the Wiltshire and Swindon area.
The team have been attending online meetings with groups and with other Community Led Housing advisers across the country, hosted by the team at Community Led Homes. We have produced a factsheet with some useful hints and tips on how to host a virtual meeting, which you can download from the resources section of the website here. There are also other community-led housing factsheets that we have produced which we hope you will find helpful; these can also be found on our website.
Community-led housing groups in the area are continuing, where possible, with their activities which has included the work surrounding Seend CLT’s planning application, Colerne CLT’s online launch event and Cricklade CLT’s online AGM. The Homes of Our Own team are proud to have continued to support groups across the county to continue with their projects.
We’ve been continuing to update our social media channels updated so if you use social media, please ‘follow us’ on Facebook and Twitter. We’ve also been working on the next edition of our newsletter, which will be available to download from our website at the beginning of June.
